When my husband and daughter first started talking about sailing for a year I thought that perhaps it would never really happen. Jennifer was just graduating from high school when they first started discussing it and it was penciled in for June of 1999, when she would graduate from college. After purchasing Halimeda in the summer of 97 and watching Paul gather information on every kind of gadget imaginable, I began to realize that it might happen after all. You have to understand that this has been a dream of my husband for many years and the reason I am along are because of Paul and Jennifer. I also love to travel and visit new places so the sailing trip allows me to do this. It has been very difficult for me to be away from our other daughter, Libby, the rest of my family, and my closest friend of 21 years, Lyn.
